Step 1. Choosing your product base
Many retailers who sell essential oils also sell very good cream, lotion and carrier oils. All of which can be used as a base for essential oils. These make an easy alternative to creating your product from scratch. Also means you don’t have to mess up your kitchen making your own.
We sell two bases for creating our own face cream, a moisturising base and a double whipped, shea and cocoa base.
Step 2. Select and Blend your Essential Oils
Once you have your base product. You need to decide what quantity you are going to make up. This is important because it will guide the number of essential oils drops you will make up and stir into your blend.
On each of our bases, we tell you how much essential oil (drops) you will need to blend into the base. No need for extra jars.
We have been asked about adding essential oils to a product you already have. We don’t recommend this. We suggest you start with a clean slate so you can see the actual results.
Step 3. Stir your essential oils into your base
Using a glass implement, ideally, a stirring rod, stir in your essential oils into your cream base.
