Black Pepper is one of those oils highly researched and is being used for some surprising new applications including as an antidote for snake venom.

It is not an oil traditionally considered as an oil essential for a home first aid kit, but it would be one of my picks.

A medical trial of a cream of 3% of dilution of black pepper, marjoram, lavender, and peppermint showed significant improvement in both movement and pain tolerance. Not surprisingly then this oil is great for relieving muscle or joint pain.
