This is a FCF oil (modified to remove fucoumarin). Two furocoumarines increase the melanin producing properties of the skin. These can often be responsible for over pigmentation of the skin when exposed to the sun. The danger is less during the winter months. Our oil is free of this making it safer than other similar oils on sale. The aroma will be a little different and less calming from unmodified oil, but the phototoxicity concerns have been eliminated
